In January 2009 MONBAT Plc has generated net incomes from sales to the amount of BGN 9 743 000, which represents a decrease of 49.72 %, compared to January 2008.

The generated net incomes from sales in January 2009 to the amount of BGN 9 743  000 are allocated as follows:

The reduction of the incomes in January 2009 compared to the same period of 2008 is due to the sales decrease in terms of units’ number and the lower prices of the production as a result of the decrease in the lead price. It is to be noted that the lead price for January 2008 was USD 2 605 per ton and in January 2009 the same has fallen down to USD 1 132 per ton.

The generated profit of MONBAT Plc for January 2009 is BGN 1 110 000, which represents a decrease of 71.43 % compared to January 2008.

The lack of gas delivery for the recycling factory in Montana during the first half of January 2009 is the main reason for the insufficient quantity of produced lead by the own recycling facilities . As a result of this additional quantity of lead had been bought at a price which was considerably higher than the cost price of the own produced lead. With this reference was reported a profit decrease in January 2009 in comparison with the same period of 2008.
